People asked to follow SOPs, stay at home.

LAKKI MARWAT -- The district administration here has intensified efforts to ensure implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) by the traders and citizens to contain spread of Covid-19.

Deputy commissioner Abdul Haseeb visited parts of Lakki and Naurang towns on Sunday to check observance of the relevant protocols and precautionary measures.

He distributed masks among traders, drivers and youths and asked them to wear masks during outdoor activities. He urged the people to avoid visiting bazaars and stay at home to keep themselves and their family members safe from the infection.

'People should wear masks when they leave their homes for any work,' he maintained. He also urged the businessmen to display banners highlighting benefits of using mask.

The deputy commissioner also visited Zeran and other rural localities to check progress of locust control operation.
