PCB rubbishes Ganguly's claim about Asia Cup being cancelled.

LAHORE -- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rubbished the claims made by the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, who recently claimed that the Asia Cup 2020 had been canceled.

PCB's Director Media Samiul Hasan Burni, while speaking to Daily Express, revealed that Ganguly's statements held no bearing on the proceedings while emphasising that the final decision would be announced by the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Nazmul Hasan.

'The statements made by Sourav Ganguly have no impact on proceedings. Even if he passes comments every week, they do not hold weight or merit. The decision regarding the Asia Cup will be taken by the ACC. The announcement can only be made by the president of the Asian body Nazmul Hasan. To the best of our knowledge, the schedule of the next ACC meeting is yet to be announced,' Burni said.

The statement from the high-ranking PCB official comes after the recent statement made by Ganguly, who claimed that the Asia Cup 2020 had been cancelled while speaking on Sports Tak.
