PBC to file review petition on Justice Faez Isa case verdict.

ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has decided to file review petition over the Supreme Court (SC) verdict in the Justice Qazi Faez Isa case.

The PBC will file review petition over the apex court's decision to send the issue of the properties of wife and children of Justice Isa to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), PBC Vice-Chairman (VC) Abid Saqi said.

Justice Isa and his wife had already opposed sending the matter to the FBR, the PBC official said.

The PBC will file its review petition after the court's announcement of the detailed judgment, Abid Saqi said.

'The FBR is not expected to conduct an impartial and transparent inquiry under the government pressure,' he added.

On Friday, the apex court dismissed the presidential reference against the senior judge after declaring it 'invalid' while accepting the petitioner's plea on Friday.
