Panel tasked with regulating private schools' fee.

PESHAWAR -- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority has tasked its fee regulation committee with regulating fees of the private schools in light of the Supreme Court's decision.

The Supreme Court in its judgment on June 12 had ruled that the schools had excessively increased fees since 2017 in violation of the law, and had struck down all such increases.

The court had directed that the schools fees should be recalculated on the basis of what prevailed in 2017.

Tashfeen Haider, PSRA managing director, who is also chairman of the fee regulation committee, told Dawn that parents were requested to provide the authority with the fee slips of their children they had paid to the schools in 2017 for regulating the fees of the private schools.
