The Career Services Office at LUMS held an informative session about Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited's (PSX) 'National Investor Education and Awareness Programme' on November 8, 2019. The session was led by members of PSX to educate students about financial planning and stock market operations.

Sarmad Hussain, Regional Head Lahore PSX, commenced the session by focusing on the current stock market scenario and its position in Pakistan. He discussed CPEC, trade and its current impact on Pakistan's stock market. He also highlighted the impact of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the economy; currently, around 3.1 million SMEs in Pakistan contribute to 40% of its GDP.
