Pakistan has seventh-highest daily positivity rate of Covid-19: report.

Pakistan has the seventh-highest average daily positivity rate compared to other impacted countries, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

The US-based university, which has been keeping a tally of coronavirus cases and deaths from 188 countries, ranked Brazil the highest in terms of positivity rate at 36.68 per cent on June 23.

Next was Peru at 30.56pc, Qatar at 22.56pc, Chile at 20.40pc, Mexico at 19.35pc, Nigeria at 18.66pc and then Pakistan at 14.68pc.

A positivity rate is the total number of tests conducted in a day and the number which came back positive for Covid-19. Experts consider this percentage one of the most reliable way to determine if a country is testing enough.
