Pakistan dominates as Sri Lanka struggles on Day 1 at 202-5.

Pakistani bowlers made a strong comeback after lunch and took back-to-back wickets as Sri Lanka finished Day 1 of the first Test at 202-5.

After a compact session one, Sri Lanka fell short to their targets as Shaheen Shah Afridi bagged in-form skipper Dimuth Karunaratne on 59 runs followed by a struggling phase for the tourists.

Young Naseem Shah struck to maintain his partner's confidence in 35th over and bagged second opener Oshida Fernando to reduce Sri Lanka to 109-2. Fernando, after a good opening start, managed to score just 40 runs.

Just in a while, Kusal Mendis (10) lost to Usman Shinwari while Mohammad Abbas took Dinesh Chandimal (2) to further strengthen their grip on the visiting side in front of a healthy crowd at Pindi Stadium.
