Pakistan, Afghanistan enjoy good ties, says CM.

QUETTA -- Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan enjoyed great religious, culture, trade and political relations.

'No doubt there are ups and downs in these relations yet there are huge expectations of the peoples of the two countries from the leadership of the two countries that they would bolster mutual relations to the point that would be an example for the world,' he said.

Mr Alyani was talking to members of an Afghan delegation, led by head of Islamic Unity Party of the People of Afghanistan's Haji Muhammad Mohaqiq, on Wednesday evening.

Members of the National Assembly and Senate of Afghanistan were also part of the delegation while Balochistan provincial ministers were also present on the occasion.

The Afghan team is visiting Pakistan as a goodwill gesture and the visit is meant to boost up ties between the two countries and bring stability to the region.

The chief minister said that better relations between the two countries would benefit the people of both countries and they would help end poverty and backwardness in the region.

The chief minister said that the day 'we realised that real issue was economic then peace and security would start returning to the region. Therefore, it will be wise if future requirements were kept in mind and better decisions are taken', he said.
