Pak envoy meets Australian Parliamentarians.

ISLAMABAD -- High Commissioner for Pakistan Babar Amin held a series of meetings with various parliamentarians on the sidelines of ongoing session of Australian Parliament in Canberra.

According to a message received here from Canberra, he met with Hon'ble Rowan Ramsey, Andrew Giles, and Milton Dick, the members of lower House of Representative of Australia, and the chair, vice chair and member of Australia Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, respectively.

The High Commissioner also met with Senator Janet Rice, and Senator Mahreen Faruqi from the Australian Greens.

During the meetings, the High Commissioner appreciated proactive role by the parliamentarians in formation of Australia-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group and the importance of people to people contacts through frequent parliamentary exchanges.
