Owners of illegal buildings given 14-day deadline.

RAWALPINDI -- The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has given 14 days' deadline to the owners of illegal commercial buildings to regularise them or face legal action.

In a statement, RDA Director General Saif Anwar Jappa said steps had been taken to increase the tax net by regularising all the structures under the ambit of the authority.

He said that a survey had been conducted to shortlist the illegal buildings.

He said that the RDA did not want to disturb the owners of these illegal buildings. The RDA as a business friendly organisation is persuading the owners to regularise their illegal commercial buildings. The DG asked the owners to get these commercial buildings regularised by depositing the Land Use Conversion Fee.
