Overstaffing on the basis of political nepotism during the government of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) and other previous regimes marred the national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), and this national institution is still carrying the unnecessary burden of thousands of surplus staffers recruited in the PPP rule, said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice President and parliamentary party leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh here Wednesday.

According to details, PTI leaders Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh and Baitul Mal Sindh president Hunaid Lakhani addressed a press conference at the Iqra University campus. Haleem Adil said that we are not against the 18th amendment, but we want its proper implementation. He said nobody knows where the funds granted under the 18th amendment go. He said these corrupt people devoured Rs15000bn during last 12 years in the name of the 18th amendment. He said the PTI would continue to expose the corrupt PPP government in Sindh. He said the PTI is organized in whole Sindh at grassroots level.

He said they send Saeed Ghani to talk on every matter. He asked is Saeed Ghani an aviation expert. He said the PPP government did nothing in the bomb blast case of Sehwan. He said when we reached the site of airplane incident we only saw police, rangers, army and Edhi volunteers. There was not a single ambulance of the Sindh government at the site. He said the report of this incident would be made public soon. He said the PPP should tell their performance about the incidents of Bojha and Air Blue crashes.

Haleem Adil said at the site of plane crash there were no disaster management department of Sindh government present. He said our whole team reached there timely. He said chief minister came later for just photo sessions He said we are in contact with the PIA and insurance company. He said we would ensure that the bereaved families are paid Rs5million more.

Haleem Adil said we are even launching a campaigning for the children of Lyari. He asked why no inquiry committee is yet to be formed against the corruption of Phopho (aunty). He said many people died due to rabid dog bite and drinking poisonous wine in Sindh. He said Sindh government has opened wine shops in the province and made them virtually 'coronavirus free zones'.
