Outlaw killed in Lakki police encounter.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Police on Wednesday claimed to have killed a dreaded outlaw during an encounter in Abakhel village here late on Tuesday night.

A police official said that an exchange of fire between the wanted man, identified as Shafiullah, and a police party took place in the village, located in the Lakki police station limits, during a raid on his hideout.

He claimed that the cops came under attack when they were laying siege to the hideout. He said the police retaliated fire and later found the body of Shafiullah there.

The official added that the police seized a hand grenade, an assault rifle, bullets and over two kilogrammes of hashish from the place.

He said that the killed outlaw was wanted in murder and other cases.

Meanwhile, one Amanullah was killed allegedly by his nephew over a petty dispute in Dheri Kallay Gandi Khankhel.

Police said that the deceased and his brother Mazullah had a dispute over payment of medical care charges of their father.
