Opp parties set up camps to welcome 'Azadi March'.

LAHORE -- Opposition parties have set up separate reception camps here for the Maulana Fazlur Rehman-led Azadi March, which is likely to reach the city after much delay in the early hours of Wednesday.

The PML-N and PPP have set up their camps at Thokar Niaz Beg, the first stopover of the marchers coming from Multan. Then the trading community and PML-N will welcome the marchers at Yateem Khana Chowk and then at Samanabad Mor.

The caravan will then move towards Chauburji where another camp set up by the PML-N awaits them. The Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, one of the five constituents of the religious alliance MMA, has set up its camp outside Data Darbar, while Bilal Yasin of the PML-N will welcome the marchers outside Minar-i-Pakistan on the side of Ravi Road that leads to Shahdara.

The Aalmi Majlis Khatm-i-Nabuwat has set up its camp on the opposite side of the PML-N camp. Its organisers say the camp is meant for offering breakfast to the marchers. But one wonders how the march...
