Operation against overcharging: 190 profiteers fined Rs.1,66,200.

NAWABSHAH -- District administrations of Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar and Naushehro Feroze districts continued their operation against overcharging and profiteering to keep prices of essential commodities stable during the month of Ramzan.

A report released by office of Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division reveals that district administrations of three districts raided 879 shops on the third day of Ramzan out of which 192 shopkeepers were found charging prices above the rates fixed by district administrations and Market committees.

The raiding teams recovered Rs. 1,66,200 as fine on the spot. In this regard District administration Shaheed Benazirabad raided 146 shops and fined Rs.76,500 on 70 shopkeepers involved in overcharging.
