Notices issued in petition seeking journalist's recovery.
ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices to the secretaries interior and defence in a petition seeking recovery of senior journalist Sami Ibrahim.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq after preliminary hearing of the petition also directed the Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Inspector General of Islamabad Police and Deputy Commissioner to depute a responsible officer for assistance in this matter.
Petitioner's counsel argued before the court that some unknown persons lifted Sami Ibrahim from 7th Avenue.
He requested the court to direct the respondent authorities for the recovery of Ibrahim.
Further hearing in this matter has been adjourned till May 26.
