Notice to govt on Buzdar's plea.

LAHORE -- The Lahore High Court on Monday issued a notice to the Punjab government on a petition of former chief minister Usman Buzdar against non-provision of security and perks to him.

Advocate Azhar Siddique, the petitioner's counsel, argued before the court that the former chief minister was entitled to perks and privileges under Section 21-A of the Punjab Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act 1975.

He said despite a requisition given to the government, the petitioner had been treated in a discriminatory manner. He alleged that the vehicles provided to the petitioner under the head of security were malfunctioned and defective.
