No one is above law, police should not succumb to pressure: PM Imran.

LAHORE -- Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that no one is above the law and police should not succumb to any political influence or pressure.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of PM Imran Khan regarding reforms in Punjab Police and its performance.

During the meeting, IG Punjab Inam Ghani briefed the Prime Minister about the progress on reforms related to Punjab Police and informed him that proposals on financial autonomy of police stations and mechanism on reconciliatory council had been presented to the Chief Minister.

The prime minister expressed satisfaction over the performance of Chief Secretary Punjab and IG Punjab. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and PM's Special Assistant Shahzad Akbar were present in the meeting.

In his address on the occasion, PM Imran Khan directed that all resources must be utilized to ensure the safety of life and property of the people and only merit should be used in solving the problems of the people.
