ISLAMABAD -- Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has said that there is no doubt that due to coronavirus the health and economic sectors have been badly affected not only in Pakistan but in whole world. He said that the people should follow precautionary measures to remain safe from coronavirus, adding that the people should understand that this is a difficult time but there is no need of creating panic. He said that the way situation is being managed the situation will not become worsen as was seen in some countries, this kind of situation will not emerge in Pakistan; however my prediction will be probed right when everyone from us will fulfill his responsibility. He said that the government has made big decisions for the businessmen, adding that he has no direct relation with policy of State Bank of Pakistan. Asad Umar said that there is need of further decreasing the interest rate. He said that government has realization that the business of people have ended, adding that the government has taken important decisions to provide relief to laborers.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Asad Umar said Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to immediately give concessions to construction industry, adding that it might be possible that in next one or two months when new budget will be announced the same concession are given for others.

He said that government has lifted the restriction on construction industry to benefit the labour community attached with this sector. He said the step has been taken to remove the miseries and hardships by daily wage workers linked with construction work. He said...
