No action against three revenue officials despite probe recommendation.

BAHAWALNAGAR -- The district administration has not taken any action even after two months against a registry clerk, a patwari and a tehsildar after citizens complained of corruption worth millions through bogus schedule, fee, hiding government records and other allegations even after an inquiry by the assistant commissioner confirmed the allegations.

Citizens lodged a written complaint against registry clerk office sub-registrar Waseemullah and city patwari Bashir Noon for corruption worth millions through bogus schedule and validation fee fraud.

In response, the additional commissioner revenue ordered Bahawalnagar Assistant Commissioner Munawwar Hussain Magsi to hold an inquiry into complaints.

The inquiry report was submitted on Dec 23, 2019, to the ADC which stated registry clerk Waseem embezzled validation fee worth Rs393,600 and suggested departmental action against him.
