NLF stresses fixing minimum monthly wage at Rs50,000.

HYDERABAD -- The National Labour Federa-tion (NLF) Sindh president Shakeel Ahmed Shaikh, general secretary Mohammad Umar Shar and others have urged the federal government to fix minimum wage of a worker at Rs50,000 per month for the year 2023-24 considering the unprecedented inflation and price hike.

In a statement issued here Tuesday they said that government employees' salaries and pensions should be increased by 100pc. They said that increase in pension would enable pensioners to avail at least medical facility. They said government had already announced a subsidy of Rs2,000 per month and concession in fuel price for motorcyclists.
