KARACHI -- The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has warned that a new cyclone is developing in the Arabian Sea.

According to a wraning posted on the PMD website on Wednesday, the deep depression previously located over the southeast Arabian Sea has rapidly intensified into a cyclonic system named 'Maha', which is likely to track northwest-wards and turn into a severe cyclonic storm over the next 24 hours.
