NEPOTISM is defined as individuals showing favoritism to family members and friends by providing them with jobs or giving them promotions based on their relationships, not competence.

Nepotism is an unfair workplace practice. Owing to nepotism company employees' morale falls. This affects a company's operation and employees' productivity. Thus employees may lose motivation to do their tasks. Eventually, they start questioning their abilities.
