NCHD head loses job after 'remarks against institutions'.

ISLAMABAD -- The federal government has removed the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) chairman for allegedly posting 'objectionable material' against state institutions on his social media account.

The Ministry of Education removed Dr Amirullah Marwat, who is a retired army colonel, and a notification in this regard was issued by Joint Secretary Amjad Ahmad as well.

The notification stated: 'Your appointment as chairman of NCHD was [made] purely on political basis, it is also on record that previously you were holding the public office as member of National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from September 2013 to May 2018.'

'Considerably, ...NCHD has about 1,100 employees in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offices. Despite this knowledge and fact, you the chairman of an esteemed nationally renowned organisation...posted some objectionable derogatory [remarks] against the state institutions on social media, which is highly objectionable and does not commensurate with the status of the post,' read the notification.
