National Savings to issue ATM cards to account-holders soon.

ISLAMABAD -- The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) will start issuing ATM cards to its account-holders soon.

The CDNS has digitised all its 376 branches and 95 percent work for issuance of ATM cards has been completed. Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz has taken cognizance of the difficulties of senior citizens and widows and had directed Director General National Savings (CDNS) to facilitate senior citizens, widows and pensioners as per banking standards.

According to the Director General CDNS Muhammad Khalil, the CDNS has digitised all its 376 branches and 95 percent work for issuance of ATM cards has been completed. He said that the CDNS had completed all its process to issue ATM cards to the account-holders but delayed due to some action on part of State Bank of Pakistan. He said that CDNS had requested the Finance Division to issue certain directions to the State Bank and National Bank to finalise operational and accounting mechanism for automated payment...
