National basketball camp resumes.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan national basketball team's training camp resumed here at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday after normality returned to the federal capital which experienced unusual law and order situation last week following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court by Rangers, an official of the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) said.

According to PBBF associate secretary Ouj-e-Zahoor, the federation has already selected promising players from across the country for the camp after the trials were held to select national team probables.

'The PBBF started the camp on May 11 but due to the current law and order situation [in Islamabad last week], we had to temporarily close the camp. However, the camp has now resumed in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB),' Ouj said.

'The [selected] players will go through an extensive training plan to enhance their skills and fitness standard at the camp to be held under the supervision of head coach Riaz Malik,' Ouj said, adding that the PBBF was trying its best to provide maximum opportunities to talented basketball players.
