The National Assembly proceeded for only five minutes on Thursday and was prorogued without taking up any agenda, observes Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) in its Daily Factsheet.

Following are key observations of the proceedings during seventh sitting of the 29th session:

Members' Participation

The National Assembly met for five minutes.

The sitting started at 1112 hours against the scheduled time of 1100 hours.

The Deputy Speaker presided over the entire sitting in the absence of Speaker.

The Leaders of the House (Prime Minister) and the Opposition did not attend the sitting.

Twenty-six (8%) lawmakers were present at the outset and 30 (9%) at adjournment of the sitting.

Two minority lawmakers attended the sitting.

Output

The House did not take up any agenda.
