Nasir Shah presides over KWSB 3rd meeting.

KARACHI -- An important meeting of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) was held on Tuesday under the chair of Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah who is also the Chairman KWSB.

The meeting reviewed the proposed draft of Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation Act. The meeting also reviewed the water board projects including Hub Canal Rehabilitation Project, 30 MGD Water Supply Distribution Project, TP-1 Sewerage Treatment Plant, TP-IV Sewerage Treatment Project and Lyari Sewerage Rehabilitation Project under Public Private Partnership. The board meeting also reviewed progress on TP-1 and TP-IV under S3 project.

Secretary Local Government Syed Najam Shah, MD Water Board Asadullah Khan, Dr Sorosh Hashmat Lodhi, Zafar Sobani, Abdul Kabeer Qazi and other board members attended the meeting. The meeting was given a detailed briefing by MD KWSB Asadullah Khan and Project Directors of the said projects.

Addressing the meeting, Shah said 'the said projects are important projects of city, the completion of which will improve the supply and drainage system in the city. It will help also help reduce sea pollution.'
