NAB recovers Rs 150 billion from corrupt elements during 2019: Chairman NAB.

ISLAMABAD -- Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Javed Iqbal has said that the anti graft watchdog has recovered Rs 150 billion looted money from corrupt elements during 2019 and working hard to nab corrupt elements across the board in order to bring them to justice.

In a statement, Justice Iqbal said that the bureau has received 4,63,845 complaints, disposed off 4,50,546 complaints in 2019 as compared to 2018 while 13,299 complaints were under process which will be disposed off during 2020 on merit.

He said that NAB authorized 15,056 complaint verifications in 2019, 14,286 complaint verifications have been completed in 2019 and remaining 770 complaint verification will be completed during 2020.

NAB has authorized 9,352 inquiries while 8,493 inquiries have been completed during 2019, and 859 inquiries were under process which will be completed in 2020.
