Murad Ali Shah formally asks PM Imran Khan to direct establishment division for appointment of new Sindh IGP.

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD -- The Sindh government on Tuesday nominated three officers to replace Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam as the inspector general of police for the province.

The letter has been written by Secretary Services Department of Sindh to Secretary Establishment Division. In the letter three names has been proposed which include Ghulam Qadir Thebo a grade-21 officer, Kamran Fazal who is also a grade-21 officer, and Mushtaq Mahar who is a grade-22 officer.

Chief Minister Sidnh Syed Murad Ali Shah, in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, has requested the federal government to direct the Establishment Division and place 'services of one of the officers named' as the IGP for the province.

'The letter is as per the procedure in vogue, the same manner in which the Governments of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had earlier written for change of their IGPs,' wrote Shah. 'I request your direction to Establishment Division for placing services of one of the officers named in the letter as Inspector General of Police, Sindh as was done in the case of Punjab and K-P province recently.'
