MU singed between LUMHS, Baitul Mal for scholarship to 50 students.

HYDERABAD -- The Managing Director Pakistan Bait ul Mal, Mr. Aon Abbas Buppi visited Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow 50 poor deserving students of the university to get scholarship till completion of their degrees. As mentioned in the Draft of this agreement, Pakistan Bait ul Mal being social protection organization of the Federal Government undertake projects/ programs/ activities for the welfare of poorest of the poor throughout Pakistan, with its presence in each district. Its objectives include (1) assurance of minimum wellbeing through a guarantee of essential goods and services that provide protection against life contingencies for all people, (2) Adoption of proactive strategies and policies to prevent and protect against risks, and (3) to promote individual and social potentials and opportunities.

The foundation of these objectives is to encourage poverty reduction and sustainable development.
