A Mongolian View of the Universe

The "Universe" exhibition by School of Fine Arts alumni from 1984 to 1990 is being presented at the Union of Mongolian Artists' Art Gallery until November 29.

The exhibition consists of over 40 artworks by approximately 20 artists, with a mix of sculptures and paintings. Three artists stood out among their peers, sculptor G.Enkhtur, and the painters S.Bayarkhuu and Ts.Tsengel.

The exhibition hall welcomes the viewer with a tall Green Tara deity sculpture by G.Enkhtur. His main subjects were wrestlers and deities. He achieves perfect anatomical features in his work, empowering him to sculpt the Green Tara, who is considered to be an ideal image of beauty.

S.Bayarkhuu works in pastel and oil to capture landscapes and portraits. I enjoyed his work "At Bogd Mountain", as it was rough enough to let the shadows and texture...
