Mongolia Pockets 71 Medals From Sixth International Children Games

Young Mongolian athletes have returned from a brilliant performance at the sixth International Children Games, held in Ulaan-Uud, Russia, from August 25 to 31.

The competition attracted over 2,200 participants from Mongolia, Russia, and Inner Mongolia, where they competed in nine sports categories. Deputy Minister of Health and Sports T.Boldbaatar reported that Mongolia's top child athletes seized 71 medals from the sixth edition of the International Children Games.

Mongolia won seven gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals from athletics four gold, two silver, and seven bronze medals from freestyle wrestling two gold medals, one silver, and seven bronze medals from boxing seven gold, seven silver, and six bronze medals from judo three silver and two bronze medals from table tennis a bronze medal from chess and a silver medal from football. They also came in fourth place in the handball and archery competitions.
