Missing boy found murdered after rape.

BAHAWALPUR -- A minor boy was allegedly murdered after rape at 28/BC village in the limits of Baghdad-ul-Jadid police station on Saturday.

Station House Officer (SHO) Abid Hameed told Dawn by cell phone that victim Asad, a student, son of a local Isa, who worked as a labourer in Multan, went missing. He said the boy's family members searched for him on their own, but failed.

Later in the day, some locals spotted his body lying in fields near the village and reported to police.

The SHO said that initial evidence shows the boy was raped and murdered by unidentified culprits.

He said a murder and rape case against unidentified person(s) had been registered, while the body was shifted to the morgue of the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) for the postmortem examination.

DOG ATTACK: A minor girl suffered serious wounds allegedly when a stray dog attacked her in the fields on the city outskirts near DHA.

According to Rescue 1122 staff, Zainab (4) was in the fields with her parents, when a stray dog attacked her. The minor suffered wounds on her face, eyes, arms and legs.
