Minorities enjoying equal rights in country under the Constitution of Pakistan, says Noor ul Haq Qadri.

Islamabad -- Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Dr. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has said that minorities are enjoying equal rights in the country under the Constitution of Pakistan.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said the ideology of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Islamic values guarantee equal rights, complete safety and security of the minorities. Taking the floor in the House, PML-N leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif said peace, harmony and acceptance for all should be promoted in the country.

Responding to Khawaja Asif's point, Minister for Human Rights Shireen M. Mazari said the government is fully committed to protect the due rights of minorities to ensure their freedom and security.

She said government is committed to ensure the basic rights of our citizens in pursuance to our Constitution and International commitments without any prejudice.

The Minister further said that all the minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete freedom as equal citizen of the motherland.

Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that suspension of Pakistan International Airlines' operation for European countries is temporary and flights will be restored soon.
