Minor killed, 12 injured in Shangla accidents.

SHANGLA -- A minor was killed and 12 other people including nine members of a family were injured in three separate traffic accidents in Shangla on Saturday.

Aloch Puran SHO Usman Munir told Dawn that 10 members of a family were travelling in a pickup vehicle from Sanela to Gumbat to offer condolence over the death of a young man, who was killed three days ago. The vehicle fell into a gorge in Koshtay Bala area owing to some fault in its steering.

An infant travelling in the vehicle died on the spot and the rest of the nine members of the family were injured in the accident. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors provided them with first aid and referred shift six of them to Saidu Teaching Hospital in Swat due to their critical condition.

In another accident, two persons including a driver were injured when a loaded truck fell into a ravine in Matta Aghwan area of Alpuri on Saturday morning.
