Ministry Reports Reduction in Air Pollution

The Minister of Nature, Environment and Green Development S.Oyun met journalists on Monday to provide an update on the ministry’s operations and other issues related to the adoption of the new laws pertaining to the environment and green development.

She also gave updated information on processed fuel supply, enforcement of Law on Prohibition of Mineral Extraction at Water Reservoir, River Basin and Forested Areas, requirements for improving administrations of river basin protection, and introduced results of recent air pollution data.

The Clean Air Initiative, a special government fund to combat air pollution, was given 92.5 billion MNT from the state budget from 2011 to 2013. As of October 1, the initiative spent 67 billion MNT from its allocated fund.
