Mild earthquake jolts Tharparkar amid continuing rainfall.

MITHI -- The mild earthquake jolted Tharparkar district on Sunday evening causing fear and panic among people.

Tharparkar Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahzad Tahir Thaheem speaking to local reporters said the quake measured 5.6 on Richter scale and its epicenter was in the Indian state of Gujarat. He said the quake hit the entire district.

He said he had directed officials of relevant departments to gather information from all areas to ascertain if there were any losses.'

No report of losses, however, had been received as yet, he added.
