Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif elected as 23rd PM of Pakistan while securing 174 votes.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has been elected as 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan while securing 174 votes.

The voting for the leader of the house was held in the National Assembly on Monday.

Announcing the results, Presiding Officer Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Shehbaz Sharif secured 174 votes. No vote was polled in favor of Vice Chairman of PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
