Mercury drops to 8.3 degrees Celsius in city.

KARACHI -- The Met department has forecast cold and dry weather with the temperature dropping to as low as 7 to 9 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.

The minimum temperature recorded on Friday was 8.3 degrees Celsius with 50 per cent humidity in the morning.

'Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while very cold in north Balochistan and upper parts of the country. However, dense fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night hours. Frost is likely to occur in the Potohar region...
