Medical reps' entry to Bisham hospital banned.

SHANGLA -- The management of the tehsil headquarters hospital, Bisham, has banned entry of representatives of pharmaceutical companies to the facility as their frequent visits hinder the smooth functioning of the outpatient department.

A notification issued by medical superintendent Dr Mansoor Ahmed Khan on Tuesday, said after receiving complaints through the Pakistan Citizen Portal it had been decided to ban the entry of representatives of the pharmaceutical companies into the hospital in the best interest of public and ensure smooth operations of the health facility.

It said the medical representatives were not allowed to visit OPD from 9am to 12pm.

The notification said the visits of the companies' representatives to the emergency should also be curbed, and warned that if any doctor or other staff member was found violating the decision disciplinary action would be taken against him.
