Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain as ally and well-wisher has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan wherein he has stated that Information Minister be directed to sit with the channels owners and sort out the matters and for payment of salaries to the workers, dues of the media be paid because distance with the media is causing loss only to him.

On ban on Channel 24, Ch Shujat Hussain said in his letter that as head of the ally party I am writing this letter to you, hope that you will not take it in the context of criticism, rather what is talked about reforms before the government it should not be taken as criticism, such distances are created between the government and the media due to which those creating distances incur no loss rather loss is being only and only of yours.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that the media if the fourth pillar of the State and for stability of the State this pillar essentially be also stable, confrontation with the media is not appropriate in any case, I had earlier also informed you about the arrest of daily Jang Editor-in-Chief Mir Shakilur Rehman and now writing a letter on the suspension of 24 News license, from recent action against 24 News this impression is gaining strength that the fourth pillar of the State is being targeted, right of freedom of express given in the Constitution is being curbed whereas the motherland is already confronting sorts of crisis.
