Mansehra to have medical college, women varsity.

MANSEHRA -- Federal parliamentary secretary Salah Mohammad Khan has said work on a medical college and a women university in Mansehrawould start soon.

`The government has decided to establish a medical college in Jaba and a women university in Dadar, he told reporters here on Sunday.

He said state land was already available for the two projects. `I met Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and informed them that the people had long been demanding the medical college and the women varsity, which the two leaders approved,` he added. ``The PM and the CM also approved funds for blacktopping of various roads.

The parliamentary secretarysaid the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also approved a water supply scheme for the city and its suburbs with the financial assistance of the Saudi government.

`The survey on the gravity flow scheme has recently been completed and work would soon start,` he said.

DISTINCTION FOR VARSITY: The Higher Education Commission has declared the Hazara University as the best online education-providing institution during the coronavirus emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A statement issued by the var-sity said in the ranking list of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa public sector universities issued by the HEC other day, the Hazara University stood first as far as the quality of online classes was concerned and was placed among the top universities across the country, securing 99.8 per cent score.

Talking to reporters, Dr Jamil Ahmad, the vice-chancellor, lauded his team for the continued struggle in achieving the distinction.
