Man sentenced to 55 years jail day before his wedding.

TAXILA -- A bridegroom was among 86 people sentenced by a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court (ATC) to 55 years' imprisonment a day before his wedding for holding protests over the arrest of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi two years ago.

The family members of the bridegroom told newsmen here on Saturday that Mohammad Atif's Mehandi function was fixed at 3pm on Friday in Pindigheb and the marriage procession was planned on Saturday. A marriage hall had been booked and all arrangements were made for Valima reception on Sunday.
