Man kills self after killing ex-wife.

NAROWAL -- A man shot his ex-wife dead and later committed suicide in Chak Mir Da village on the outskirts of Zafarwal on Tuesday.

Naveed Akhtar married Javeria four years ago.

Muhammad Rafi, uncle of Javeria, said since the beginning the couple used to quarrel and a few months ago, Javeria returned to her parent's. He said the Union Council Uncha Kalan secretary summoned both Javeria and Naveed to record their statements over a khula plea on Tuesday where Naveed pleaded with Javeria for reconciliation but she turned down his pleas.

As a result, the marriage was annulled by the secretary.
