Man gets death in double murder case.

KHAR/DI KHAN -- A sessions court in Bajaur tribal district awarded two-time death penalty to an accused in a double murder case on Wednesday.

The accused Mohammad Shafiq, a retired employee of Frontier Corps, had allegedly killed a female teacher and her sister on August 29, 2018, in Bajaur.

The sentence was pronounced by additional sessions judge Mian Zahidullah Jan after a single bench had reserved the verdict a couple of days ago.

The court found the accused guilty of killing Shazia Begum, a female teacher, and her sister Shahida Parveen near a girl's school in Umary area of Mamond tehsil.

Besides death penalty, the judge also imposed a fine of Rs1 million on him, which would be given to heirs of the slain sisters.
