Man arrested for affixing police light on his vehicle.

RAWALPINDI -- Police arrested a man for allegedly pretending to be a member of the peace committee, while driving a luxury vehicle on which an unauthorised revolving red-and-blue light and green registration plate was affixed, in the jurisdiction of Race Course police station on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the vehicle was signalled to stop by a patrolling party at a checkpoint in Saqlain Shaheed chowk but the driver ignored police and continued his journey. Station House Officer Mian Imran, told Dawn that the driver finally stopped the vehicle after a brief chase.
