Lung cancer major cause of deaths in males.

RAWALPINDI -- Consultant Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology(RIC) Dr Mohammad Tauqeer Akbar said that lung cancer is the leading cause of deaths in males in Pakistan as the country faced the scarcity of thoracic surgeons.

Talking to reporter: here on Sunday, Dr Tauqeer said a large number of deaths occurred due to diagnosis of disease too late while only 20 to 25 Thoracic surgeons were available in Pakistan which was very low number for a population of 220 million.
