Through their excellent academic performance and research experience, LUMS students continue to distinguish themselves internationally. Muhammad Adil Inam, a BS Computer Science student at Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering, and a member of the University's Class of 2020, has been awarded the esteemed Sohaib and Sara Abbasi Computer Science Fellowship for a PhD programme at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign (UIUC).

As a testament to Mr. Inam's outstanding academic record and research endeavours, the fellowship provides a full tuition scholarship along with a stipend. In addition to this, he has also received funded PhD admission offers from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Virginia.

During his time at LUMS, Mr. Inam was able to explore a wide variety of fields within Computer Science, and that helped shape his interests. He gained valuable research exposure by working on various projects dealing in systems, security, and programme analysis.
