Looming water crisis in Badin causes citizens and growers suffer potable water.

BADIN -- Prevailing water scarcity in Badin and other talukas and cities of the district has created worsen situation and citizens and growers were sustaining miserable circumstances. Apathy of public health department and irrigatory turn system has compelled citizens to utilize impure, toxic and contaminated water across the district. It was learnt that more than 90 percent population of the district out of 1.8 million including Tando Bago, Golarchi, Matli, Kadhan, Pangrio, Malkani, Seerani and other areas were utilizing such toxic water due to prolonged irrigatory turn system. While apathy, carelessness, corruption and irresponsible attitude of the department has caused more than 100 water filter plants and RO plants were non functional and water supply schemes were disrupted and citizens deprived of pure drinking water to quench their thirst.
