Lesco to bring in 50 special vehicles for line staff.

LAHORE -- The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has placed a purchase order for the procurement of 50 bucket-fitted vehicles in a bid to ensure provision of safe working environment to the line staff.

The company has also sanctioned a marriage grant of Rs100,000 and Rs200,000 for the two children each of serving and retired and deceased employees besides allowing special facility for grant of monetary help to the widows of the deceased employees for maintenance of their residence.

It was announced by Wapda Hydroelectric Workers Union Secretary General Khurshid Ahmad at a meeting of the workers here on Wednesday.
